Fabrics: Lizzano dark navy floral cotton.
Notions: Epic [polyfil] thread & navy zip.
Pattern description: A perfect teadress. It has a look that’s a little 1930’s but also something of the 1940’s. There are 3 versions included in the pattern. Version A has a gathered sleeve head and a pleat into it’s cuff. Version B has a gathered sleeve head with a fluted hem. Version C has a long straight sleeve. Version D has a long skirt. The skirt is cut on the bias and gently skims the waist and hips making it very easy to wear.
Pattern Sizing: size 8 – 20
Did it look like the photo/line drawing on the pattern once finished?: Yes
What did you like or dislike about the pattern?: Well written pattern, with clear instructions. Great details, like the piping and small pleats sleeves at the shoulder and ’cuff’.
Did I make any pattern alterations or design changes? I did make it slightly shorter, by accident. I traced the pattern and didn’t notice the extra length on the pattern. I also used a small zip rather than using press studs.
Would I sew it again or recommend to others? Yes, a lovely make and I’d love to make another longer version.
Conclusion: A super make, that was fun to sew and not tricky.
